Birth of "CARRIGAN KLARK COLLINS"

As all of the family knows, our little angel "Carrigan Klark Collins" was born on November 13, 2007 at 10:47pm at MTMC in Murfreesboro, TN. She weighed a wopping 8 lbs. 12 oz and 19 inches long with a head full of dark brown hair like her Mommy. Oh, we sure were exhausted since we got very limited sleep on the big night! We did not move into our regular room until 1:30am and had constant visits from RN's until 3:30am. Our 1st full day with Carrigan went fabulous at the hospital and there were no complications with mommy and baby as before with Courtlyn. Oh was Courtlyn fascinated with her new little sister and loved holding her in bed with Mommy. She was also inquisitive about Carrigan's little umbilical cord and asked Mommy "Is there another baby in your belly?" Nana and I went shopping for a few hours to let Mommy rest some and to shower her and the baby with gifts. The 2nd night at the hospital was much more restful and Mommy was able to get Carrigan on a regular feeding schedule. After Carrigan had her pictures taken by the hospital photographer, we departed the hospital on our way to the Bistro Villa. -Kirk-

PREGNANT MOMMY

Courtlyn and Mommy posed for a few belly shots before her OB-GYN appointment last Friday. As you can see, Courtlyn has her hands full with the new Collins baby (brother or sister...who knows?....oh the beauty of suspense!). We continue to wait patiently for the birth of our little baby...oh not really, but rather anxious for the big day to come !!! -Kirk-

HALLOWEEN PRINCESS

Courtlyn, Mommy, and I had a fun-filled halloween evening in McMinnville with lots of activities. Courtlyn loved being Cinderella the Princess on Halloween and she had practiced wearing the costume all summer after we moved in the villa. The evening started at some boarding homes that I treat patients...those old ladies just love Courtlyn and it's an annual visit on Halloween. Next we went to trunk-o-treat at our church then back to Beckridge Drive at Granna's. After Courtlyn and Mommy hit about every house in our neighborhood and her bag was overflowing with candy, we gathered at the ODK and basement bar for some pulled pork and hotdogs with our neighbors. -Kirk-

PUMPKIN CARVING

Courtlyn and I carved 3 pumpkins on Tuesday night before Halloween so they would be nice and fresh for the trick-o-treaters. We did a scary face, happy face, and a "C" for CC !!! Courtlyn was a little unsure of putting her hand in the pumpkins and digging out the gooey seeds. After the carvings Courtlyn posed for some cute pics with her new orange friends. -Kirk-
